WAH,SUP! FAQ’s

  1. Where can I park my car?

    Aloha Sea Sports is located 200 meters from E2 Area E Car Park (1212 ECP, E2 Area E Car Park, Singapore 449886). Plenty of parking can be found here or Car Park or the overflow carpark lot across the road on East Coast Park Service Road.

  2. Is there a bus stop close to the venue?

    Yes. Please see the How to Get There section of our website for further details and transportation options.

  3. Can I bring spectators to the event?

    No. Unfortunately, due to the restrictions enforced by the venue and by SportSG we cannot allow spectators. The venue has clear and explicit rules regarding the number of visitors that can be onsite at one time. The event organisers have carefully considered the schedule of events and the restrictions on the number of visitors to the venue and therefore we must limit capacity of race day footfall to only participants. 

  4. Where do I register?

    Register now through our website.

  5. I am unable to race due to illness/injury. Can I get a refund?

    We are not offering any refunds for this event. You can transfer your race entry to a friend/acquaintance, and there will be a $25 transfer admin fee payable. For further clarification or inquiries please email: hello@fatburdevents.com

  6. When is the entry deadline?

    Race registration closes on May 6, 2021. 

  7. Can I transfer my entry to another athlete if I choose not to race?

    You are able to transfer your entry online to an acquaintance.  Racers are required to locate transfer racers independent from WAH, SUP! organisers. Racer may sort out payment between racer and “transfer racer” independent from the event organiser. The person who is taking your entry will need to pay a $25 transfer fee online to complete their new entry. Please contact WAH, SUP! organisers for additional details: hello@fatburdevents.com

  8. Can I enter on race day?

    This depends on whether the event is fully subscribed.  If there are available race slots, there will be an admin fee of $10 per event, to register on the day. 

  9. How do I collect my race pack?

    Race packs & swag will be distributed at the registration table upon entering the venue on race day. 

  10. Is there a bag deposit? 

    Yes. You will be informed about your assigned bag deposit location on race day at the registration table. 

  11. Will there be a race briefing?

    Yes, Race briefing will take part 10 mins before your wave. ALL participants must watch the Stand Up Paddle Safety Briefing video also.

  12. Where do I collect my WAH, SUP! race swag?

    Race pack | swag will be distributed at the registration table upon entering the venue on race day. 

  13. Where do I get my timing chip?

    There will be no formal timing chips or race bibs for this event. We will provide manual timing for all participants.

  14. How will my race number be identifiable?

    We will be applying your race number with marker on your arm/leg (old school triathlon style!). 

  15. Can I volunteer for set-up or race day roles?

    YES! Of course - we would love your help! Please email: hello@fatburdevents.com for more information.

  16. Can I practice on the course prior to the race?

    The running route is at ECP/ This is a public park. The SUP route will be announced on the day as it is weather dependant. The paddle route will either be along the coast for 500m and back, or paddle offshore for 500m and back.

  17. Can I race with an MP3 or other music player?

    No, this is not advisable due to the SUP portion of the event. Under no circumstances are the race organisers or venue owners responsible for lost or damaged items. 

  18. What are the age restrictions?

    This event is open to anyone 16 years and older. Due to current group size restrictions, we are not able to have younger children accompanied by adults.

  19. What is in my race pack?

    You will receive some super cool sponsored items. TBC soon!

  20. When do I start the race?

    All race times are listed on the website and registration link. Waves of 8 people will be flagged off every 45 minutes in a controlled and safe distanced manner. Start time slots will be allocated up on a first come, first served basis on race day.

  21. Will water or other hydration products be available on the race course?

    No. Please bring your own water bottles, hydration packs or belts. Water/hydration is provided by race organisers at the Start/ Finish/ Transition area only.  If you require advice on products or nutrition, please visit www.rdrc.sg or contact Red Dot Running Company on Facebook, Instagram or email the friendly crew at hello@rdrc.sg. (Please do not contact RDRC about race details.). 

  22. Where and when are the awards ceremony?

    We will have the awards ceremony and prize giving on the day, after the event is over.

  23. Where can I find my results?

    We will post all results within 48 hours from the completion of the race.

  24. Can I see my race results on event day?

    No. Results will be shared within 48 hours of race day.

  25. Will I receive a race certificate?

    All runners will be emailed an e-certificate at the completion of the event.

  26. I have a protest/complaint/suggestion - who do I notify?

  27. Can I bring my dog to the event?

    Unfortunately, no pets are allowed at the venue. BUT, you are welcome to walk your dog at ECP after the event!

  28. Is there a t-shirt?

    Not for this event, but there’s a fabulous finisher souvenir!

  29. What sort of swag will I get?

    We’ll announce our partners and what you’ll get in your goodie bag soon, but you’re doing this for the run and the SUP, the chance to try something new, and not the expected free gifts, right??!!

  30. What shoes should I wear?

    The terrain is quite flat and takes place mostly on concrete paths. Our recommendation is road running shoes.

  31. Do we have to wear a buoyancy vest on the SUP portion of the event?

    YES! You will be given a buoyancy vest at the beginning of your race.

  32. Should I wear a bathing suit for the SUP portion of the event?

    Please wear what you are comfortable on the SUP and Run portions or the event. Trisuits can be purchased at RDRC. They are nice to have, but not necessary! You are likely to get partially, if not completely wet, so bear this in mind when selecting your clothing.
